Position - Manager of Events and Engagement

Position Summary
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events that support the goals of the Advancement department to include, but not limited to, donor, parent, and alumni relations. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Lead negotiations for event space contracts, event arrangement, and ordering of supplies.
  • Oversight of design and event materials including event signage, invitations, responses and marketing materials.
  • Manage onsite production including event materials, set up and tear down.
  • Assist with budget preparations for events and tracking of event financials including check requests, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Lead the logistical strategy and implementation of Advancement events such as Homecoming and Reunion Weekend.
  • Work closely with the Advancement team to lead and plan the logistics of Avila University’s main fundraising event – Avila University Steer Dinner.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years’ event planning
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Suite 
  • Multilingual skills highly preferred
  • Ability to contribute to a climate that supports a diverse student body, serves first-generation college students, multilingual learners, and contributions to equity and social justice through their work.
