Outreach International, a top-rated nonprofit dedicated to community-led development, seeks a dynamic, mission-driven leader to serve as its next President & Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, you’ll lead a passionate and high-performing team in Kansas City and around the globe. You’ll champion our commitment to social justice, drive strategic growth, and, most importantly, inspire the philanthropic investments that fuel our mission and drive sustainable impact.
Leadership Priorities
- Fundraising & Strategy: Build a long-term plan to grow philanthropic revenue to $5–$7M, fostering meaningful engagement with donors, board members, and strategic partners.
- Team Empowerment: Inspire and mentor a dynamic, collaborative leadership team and strengthen our inclusive workplace culture.
- Board Engagement: Deepen relationships with our 13-member board to activate their unique strengths for strategic visioning, fundraising, and effective governance.
- Global Connection: Build strong relationships with international partners and staff; cultivating a visible and trusted leadership presence that resonates across diverse cultural contexts.
Your Expertise
- A deep commitment to sustainable development, equity, and human dignity.
- A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership, ideally in the nonprofit or global development space.
- Proven results in fundraising, team leadership, financial stewardship, and strategic planning.
- Cultural humility and fluency working across diverse communities and contexts.
- Excellent communication skills—an inspiring storyteller, attentive listener, and effective ambassador. Able to lead high-functioning teams with clarity and confidence, building a team dynamic of mutual respect and trust.
- A bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit leadership, international development, or related fields preferred.
