Finance Manager
Full-Time Finance Manager Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000

Pawsperity serves some of the community’s most vulnerable members, including individuals often coming from backgrounds of domestic violence, addiction, incarceration, and homelessness
Position Purpose:
The Finance Manager reports to the CEO and has tertiary responsibility for overseeing and directing financial and accounting activities in support of the agency strategy. This position complies with financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensures timely financial and statistical reports to fulfill management and board needs. This position oversees the Financial Aid Officer
Essential Responsibilities include:
Financial Operations
- Oversee accounting, accounts payable, and gift processing to align with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Oversee timeliness, accuracy, and utility of financial and management reporting for all stakeholders.
- Support the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Act as primary contact with the agency’s banking and investment partners.
- Provide weekly bank balance information to the CEO
- Enter transactions in QuickBooks as needed.
- Upload and organize invoices and receipts in Teams for accurate record-keeping.
- Prepare and conduct bank deposits and cash withdrawals in accordance with company protocols.
- Prepare invoices for workforce development partners in line with MOUs and agreements.
- Assist Department Directors with annual budget preparation.
- File quarterly sales tax
- Manage documentation for property tax exemptions.
- Three or more years in financial accounting/management with at least two years in a nonprofit organization.
- Organized, self-starter
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Passion for the mission and work of the organization
