Grantmaking Services Associate
The Grantmaking Services Associate will provide centralized administrative support for grantmaking contracts and related processes and meetings. This includes providing technical assistance on grantmaking software and supporting the team, clients, donors, boards, and applicants throughout the grant competition process. This position reports to the Manager of Grantmaking Services and is hourly, nonexempt.
Essential Functions

Provide administrative support for grantmaking clients including processing awards payments and facilitating post-award correspondence and procedures; drafting letters or agreements maintaining electronic files; taking minutes at board meetings; producing packets for board meetings.

Maintain department software; process applications and reports, provide technical assistance to stakeholders, and utilize application and correspondence templates.

Serve as the point of contact for nonprofit support, coordinate meetings with co-workers, and answer questions about grantmaking services and funding opportunities.

Create custom research reports for donors and Community Foundation staff.

Act as a client liaison between philanthropic relationships to facilitate the highest level of customer service and attention to detail.??

Act as point of contact for organizations regarding grant deadlines, GuideStar profiles listed in that Local Directory and other related communications.

Conduct other administrative support as assigned including copying; catering; filing; faxing; mailing; processing check requests; scheduling; and preparing meeting rooms. May assist other departments during peak times and back-up other members of the Grantmaking Services team.

Maintain a knowledge base of local nonprofits and update supervisor and other grantmaking contract staff.
Requirements

An Associate’s degree or equivalent and at least 2 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Comfortable with technology and aptitude to learn new databases quickly and navigate between multiple applications easily. Must be proficient in Adobe and MS Office products, specifically Word and Excel. Preferred experience in Blackbaud, Foundant, Fluxx, SmartSimple, or similar customer relationship management software.

Skilled in managing multiple tasks while adapting to shifting priorities to address high-priority needs effectively.

Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and successfully communicate verbally and in writing.

Ability to apply, present, and manage relevant financial principles and data.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret a variety of instructions and procedures; operate within current industry best practices.

Ability to operate in a highly collaborative environment, while able to work independently and be self-motivated.

Ability to drive, navigate maps/GPS instructions, and possess reliable transportation with a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
