Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Vibrant Health is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as a key member of the Executive Management Team and senior leader for enterprise-wide operations. The COO is responsible for ensuring that systems, infrastructure, workflows, and operational teams support the delivery of high-quality, accessible, patient-centered care across all sites and programs.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO translates strategy into reliable execution and drives performance in patient access, operational efficiency, workforce effectiveness, regulatory readiness, and organizational sustainability. The COO partners closely with the CEO, CFO, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Advancement Officer, and other leaders to support Vibrant Health’s mission and growth as a Federally Qualified Health Center.
Key responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations across all sites and programs, ensuring consistent, efficient, patient-centered service delivery.
- Translate organizational strategy into operational plans with clear priorities, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Provide direct executive oversight for Patient Access (scheduling, registration, referrals, and access management) to support timely, equitable care and an excellent patient experience.
- Ensure operational compliance and readiness for HRSA/BPHC site visits, FTCA requirements, audits, payer reviews, and other regulatory expectations.
- Partner with the CEO and CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning; align operations with financial targets while maintaining quality and access.
- Provide executive oversight of Information Technology and key operational systems to support reliable, secure, and efficient clinical and business workflows.
- Oversee facilities and physical plant operations to ensure safe, compliant, well-maintained environments and to lead major renovations, expansions, and capital projects.
- Build and develop high-performing operational leaders and teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, equity, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a member of the Executive Management Team, providing regular operational updates and strategic input to the CEO and Board, and representing operations with external partners and stakeholders.
Job Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $100,000 and over
