Manager of Membership Value Programs
This position manages, supports, and coordinates various tasks and programs within the Membership Value department. Specifically, this position will support the development of new initiatives from the NAIA’s strategic plan to enhance member value, manage the NAIA onboarding programs for new administrators, manage the learning management system for members and the membership feedback loop, administer the Conference Liaisons program, provide customer support to various member services, and assist in various other membership-facing programs. This position will serve our members and collaborate with various NAIA departments to understand, communicate, and enhance member value.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
New initiative support and project management
· With support and collaboration from the department VP, manage the planning and execution of projects and initiatives identified in multi-year strategic plans from inception to completion.
· Oversee, plan, and coordinate tasks and timelines associated with these initiatives.
· Facilitate regular project meetings and present project updates to management and members.
Manage the NAIA ADvantage onboarding processes for new member administrators
· Responsible for project management and ongoing the NAIA ADvantage onboarding program for new Athletic Directors. Assist with the creation and facilitation of new commissioner onboarding as needed.
· Manage welcome boxes and messages to new athletic directors, presidents, and conference commissioners.
· Assist with the creation and ultimately manage welcome materials for additional administrator roles.
· Manage databases and lists of changes to NAIA athletic directors within NAIA internal systems.
· Support the Membership Recruitment and Membership Communications department in coordinating the new member (institution) or new president onboarding program.
Conference Liaison Administration
· Manage the Conference Liaison process, including scheduling meeting calendar, communication, coordination, and data preparation before the meeting and all post-meeting surveys and follow-up.
· Assist with preparing pre-meeting National Office Report materials, collateral, and presentation PowerPoints.
Value Messaging Support
· Manage and collaborate with various internal departments to identify, create, and implement value messaging for biweekly membership emails and annual convention signage highlighting member benefits.
· Support various internal departments to review the effectiveness and consistency of our membership value messaging plan.
Manage Learning Hub (learning management system for members)
· Manage the content within 15 topical areas to ensure relevant, valuable, and diversified information and resources.
· Regularly communicate and coordinate with department leaders to research new resources available through various channels.
· Responsible for running regular reports, analyzing results, and evaluating user feedback to determine best practices to optimize the Hub for maximum member engagement and value.
Manage the execution of the membership feedback loop
· Lead ongoing conversations with all internal departments to create departmental survey questions. Using Survey Monkey, prepare and execute biannual membership surveys.
· Assist with all efforts to use results to communicate the NAIA’s value to current members.
Requirements
· Candidate must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree
· 2-4 years of program management and/or membership support or related experience.
· Experience in a membership association, intercollegiate athletics, or higher education industry preferred.
· Demonstrated program management abilities, including planning, executing, and monitoring programs to meet specific objectives and outcomes.
· Must be able to project manage and coordinate with various stakeholders within defined budgets and timelines. Demonstrated experience in follow-through and personal accountability, with strong organizational and communication skills.
· Persuasive or marketing-based communication experience a plus
· Expertise in computer software, including database management and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
