Operations Manager
Job Title: Operations Manager
Reports To: Executive Director
Hours: Full Time In House (Salaried, approx. 40 + hours per week)
Salary: $45,000-$55,000 per year (Commensurate with experience), Full Benefits
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage staff members and volunteers

Execute the UG strategy and business plan

Hire new employees as needed

Oversee facility updates and improvements as needed

Oversee daily Underground Operations
-
Manage overall sales efforts
-
Participate in team events with museum
-
Participate in KCAM events
-
Attend meetings as needed

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
No formal education is required. Staff management, project management, sales experience, car and mechanic knowledge, exemplary customer service, familiarity with non-profit fundraising efforts.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Computer Skills:
Use of Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and basic understanding of databases. Experience with Storedge, security platforms, and basic creative applications a plus.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level and allergens in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
At times, this is a physically demanding position. The employee must be able to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
