Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator 

Position Description

Flourish is seeking a qualified individual to fill our Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator role.  This is a full-time position with the opportunity for future growth within our rapidly growing organization.  The ideal individual for this role will have the skills for this position and a desire to serve the community in an environment that respects the dignity of all individuals.

Salary 

40 hours weekly 

$17.25 - $19.50 

 

Objectives of this role: 

To provide coordination of projects in the warehouse. 

To build and support processes within the warehouse space. 

To oversee the scheduling of donation pickup requests.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with staff and volunteers to ensure professional and welcoming warehouse operations. 

  • Support management of intake area, showroom floor, and workshop spaces. 

  • Help develop and update process manuals for departments throughout the warehouse. 

  • Work with Director of Volunteer Programs to identify and prioritize volunteer projects to meet operational needs. 

  • Support volunteers completing projects, in cooperation with the Director of Volunteer Programs. 

  • Coordinate supply needs with Office Administrator. 

  • Learn donation guidelines and support volunteers in following donation guidelines. 

  • Respond to donor questions re: donation guidelines and scheduling. 

  • Use pickup scheduling software to schedule donation pickup routes and track furniture donations. 

  • Ensure drivers complete inventory sheets for all pickups for Development Manager. 

  • Send monthly scheduling requests to volunteer drivers. 

  • Ensure drivers have up-to-date physicals on file and support them in renewals. 

  • Enter fleet maintenance records in Fleetio and scan to Teams. 

  • Communicate with staff and volunteer drivers re scheduling. 

  • Work with Driver and volunteers to ensure trucks are unloaded in a timely manner and ready for next assignment. 

  • Coordinate fleet needs with Driver Liaison and attend Liaison Meetings monthly. 

  • Conduct tours of the warehouse, as requested. 

  • Attend weekly staff meetings and all-staff events which may be held evenings or weekends.  

 

Qualifications: 

Flourish is seeking a self-starter that will be able to push the organization forward with a positive outcomes-oriented attitude.  This person will need to think creatively to solve problems and work dilligently to support donation pickups in the community and the movement of goods through our warehouse space.  

 

  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 

  • Ability to use Microsoft Teams with prior experience strongly preferred. 

  • Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel. 

  • Team-oriented attitude. 

  • Ability to lead volunteer projects. 

  • Strong written and verbal communications. 

  • Ability to learn FurnitureBank software and use it to schedule donation pickup appointments. 

  • Previous nonprofit experience is preferred.  

  • Deep commitment to Flourish’s mission and energy to move the organization forward. 

  • Strong problem-solving ability. 

 

Schedule for this position: 

Tuesdays 8am – 4pm; 5pm – 8pm 

Wednesdays 8am – 4pm 

Thursdays 8am – 4pm 

Fridays 8am – 2pm 

Saturdays 8am – 3pm 

Alternate hours may be requested for special events.
