Organization: Redemptorist Social Services CenterReports To: Executive Director
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Job Summary
Redemptorist Social Services Center is seeking a mission-driven, organized, and compassionate individual to serve as our Food Programs Manager. This position plays a vital leadership role in overseeing the Center’s food assistance programs that serve individuals and families experiencing food insecurity across Kansas City. The Center currently serves individuals each week through the food pantry, mobile food distributions, the daily homeless lunch program, and senior programs.Key Responsibilities
· Oversee daily operations of the Redemptorist Center food pantry and food distribution programs.· Coordinate mobile food distributions and community-based food access programs.
· Manage the daily homeless lunch program and senior food support programs.
· Coordinate food procurement.
· Maintain food inventory systems and ensure proper storage and food safety practices.
· Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers who support food distribution operations.
· Ensure compliance with Kansas City Health Department food safety regulations.
· Maintain relationships with community partners, churches, businesses, and food drive organizers.
Qualifications
· Experience working in nonprofit programs, food distribution, logistics, or community services.· Strong organizational and leadership skills.
· Ability to coordinate volunteers and manage multiple responsibilities.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
· Commitment to serving individuals and families with dignity and compassion.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working with food banks or food pantry programs.· ServSafe Food Safety Certification.
· Bilingual Spanish language skills.
· Experience coordinating volunteers or community partnerships.
· Bachelor’s Degree
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during food distribution operations.How to Apply
