Great Jobs KC, Inc. (dba KC Scholars) (www.greatjobskc.org) is a 501(c)(3) college scholarship and tuition-free job training program. Its goal is to support persistence and increase the college completion rate for low- and modest-income students across the six-county, bi-state service region and secure family-sustaining careers. The organization was designed to change thousands of individual lives and transform the region by preparing the local future workforce and contributing to the regional economy. The KC Scholars Scholarship Program awards traditional college scholarships to high school juniors, adult learner scholarships to adults 18 years and older, and college savings match awards to high school freshmen. The Great Jobs KC program provides tuition assistance to approved career training programs in high-demand industries such as construction, healthcare, information technology, logistics/warehousing, manufacturing and service careers. With the support of Great Jobs KC, adults 17+ and older can learn the skills needed in one year or less to secure a job with family-sustaining wages. Great Jobs KC supports all its Scholars throughout their college or job training and into their first year of employment.  
 
ABOUT THE ROLE 
Reports to: Senior Director of Career Services and Program Operations 
Location: Kansas City, MO, Remote but may be required to occasionally come into the office 
Status: Exempt, Full-time  
Salary: Annual salary based on experience

Operating hours:  8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST 
 
Key Performance Indicators: 
· Complete 100% of all documents, forms and reports required by assigned grant in cooperation with the Grant Manager.
· Maintain 100% accuracy and timeliness of master files on grants, including forms and reports.
· Conduct quarterly audits of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with grant requirements and recommend corrective actions if necessary.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES 
The Funding Oversight and Compliance Manager will assist in the administration of multiple funding opportunities for Great Jobs KC. This role will focus on ensuring adherence and compliance with policies, regulations, and administration across all stages of the grant process. 
 
Primary responsibilities include:  
· Screen individuals for Grant eligibility and track scholar application status
· Conducts interviews to determine eligibility for assistance and re-verifies their continuing eligibility
· Explain grant policy and application procedures to clients and individuals in the community.
· Adhere to all outlined protocols regarding application security and confidentiality of information.
· Assist scholars in completing and submitting required applications and documentation by stated deadlines to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
· Collaborate closely with the Grant Manager to ensure alignment on internal deadlines, compliance requirements, and program expectations.
· Advise Scholars of all required verification documents necessary to verify grant eligibility 
· Track student hours and attendance for grant reporting 
· Attend all grant and agency-related training courses
· Keep accurate records of calls and required information as assigned.
· Stay abreast of grant policies and eligibility guidelines
· Apply grant-related procedures in alignment with organizational protocols and compliance standards.
· Completes all documents, forms, or reports required by the grant
· Coordinates the monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects that are funded by grants.
· Develops and maintains master files on grants and paperwork connected to programs funded by grants.
· Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with grant requirements and recommend corrective actions, if necessary
· Performs other related duties as assigned 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
 
Education:  
· Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
 
Work Experience:  
· 3+ years of experience working with Missouri, Kansas, or federal funding programs
· Previous & proficient experience with Microsoft Suite and CRMs, Salesforce experience preferred

· Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal funding 
· Thorough understanding of grant funding policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
· Demonstrate analytical, organizational, problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict management/resolution skills.
· Excellent communications skills (written, verbal, research skills, presentation skills, facilitation skills).Extremely organized and meticulous with details.
· Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources.
· Ability to meet deadlines.

Physical requirements: 
· Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.  
· Ability to work in an office and remote environment. 
· Ability to travel from and to work and occasionally to regional sites as the organization grows.
