Mid-Level Gifts Manager

We're Hiring: Mid-Level Gifts Manager
Kansas City, MO | Non-exempt | Full-time Salary Range: $64,000-$66,000
Are you passionate about community impact and public media? KCPBS is looking for a MidLevel Gifts Manager to grow and manage a portfolio of individual donors giving between $1,000 and $2,499 annually. You'll be part of a collaborative Development team working to strengthen donor relationships, increase giving, and support our mission of educating, informing, and inspiring.

In this role, you will:
• Initiate research and analyze past giving patterns to develop a segment/pipeline of high value midlevel donor portfolio with the capacity to increase their giving and engagement using donor profiles and behavioral metrics.
• Develop personalized digital engagement and direct marketing strategies, tailored to the midlevel donor audience, including thank you calls and emails, letters, special invitations, follow-up to survey responses, lift notes, progress reports and other activities.
• Lead the messaging development, design, and processes for mid-level donor communications, and coordinate as needed across the Development team. Collaborate closely with the Membership and Major Gifts teams.
• Maintain database hygiene and up-to-date records in the donor database.
• Work with major gift team to transition donors who reach a certain threshold to the major gift team’s portfolios.
• Manage monthly renewal mailings quarterly lapsed mailing, and other Producers Society engagement and correspondence.
• Manage details for donor events:
o Work with other departments as needed for major donor event planning, invitations, RSVP lists and attendee details.
o Name tags, check-in sheets, day-of details.
o Database tracking of attendance.
• Maintain updated donor lists through Bento.
• Assist with grant research and track deliverables for the CDO.
• Other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for someone who has:
• Passion for KCPBS’s mission and organizational values and possesses an interest in learning more about the organization and the community we serve.
• Proven ability to analyze, plan, initiate and complete donor initiatives in a strategic manner.
• Superior customer service skills with experience working directly with donors and volunteers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively and concisely communicate complex issues.
• High levels of initiative, ability to achieve financial and non-financial objectives and adherence to ethical standards.
• Ability to sometimes work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• An undergraduate degree preferably in development, communications, marketing, public administration, or non-profit management.
• Minimum three (3) years or more experience in an individual giving program.
• Knowledge of local and regional philanthropic market.
• Experience working in a team environment.
