Employment Services Workforce Program Manager
Employment Status: Full-time
Reports to: Director of Programs

Workforce Specialist duties:
- Set client appointments for orientation – walk-ins and phone inquiries.
- Facilitate assigned group orientation modules.
- See clients individually to assess work readiness by conducting initial employment screening and work on developing relationship with them. Follow guidelines from Employment Services Manual.
- Assist clients with resume development, cover letters, and other written correspondence for job search.
- Assist clients in overcoming multiple barriers inhibiting them from getting and keeping employment – strengths based approach.
- Assist with smooth running of the resource room.
- Provide documentation of all client contacts via employment services access database.
- Follow-Up - Stay connected to clients on weekly basis until they find work (short-term program).
- Job Retention-Conduct 3 month and 12 month client post-employment check.
- Participate in networking to grow relationships with other agencies and community partners, to include resource meetings, and individual agency meetings.
- Possesses the ability to identify, comprehend and apply workforce development and career services best practices to support BSC and the clients we serve
- Assist with job development and job fairs.
- Demonstrated ability to speak to small and large groups
- Knowledge of best practices and trends in workforce development and career services
- Knowledge of workforce development and careers services technology resources
- Demonstrates excellent public speaking and presentation skills
- Other duties as assigned.
- Develop a strategic plan to keep program relevant to the clients we serve.
- Facilitate a bridging of employment services to our other core programs.
- Network with employers, community members, and stakeholders.
- Develop and facilitate curriculum for job seekers (for example: budgeting, soft skills, conflict resolution).
- Manage program staff.
- BSW or related degree in Social Services, with preferred background in working with people in poverty; Master’s degree in social work is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience working in Employment Services Workforce Planning.
- 3-5 years of relevant case management, employment, job development and/or vocational counseling experience.
- 1-2 years management experience.
- Knowledge of workforce development and career services technology resources.
- Demonstrated ability in establishing healthy working relationships with clients, staff, employers, and workforce and community partners.
- Strong ability to lead initiatives and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Passion for the mission and values of Bishop Sullivan Center
- Computer literate.
- Ability to manage individual responsibilities and work well in a team.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Salary Range: $50,000 - 74,999
