Director of Community Programs
Rose Brooks Center, a nonprofit domestic violence agency, is currently seeking a full-time Director of Community Programs. This position will supervise and provide leadership for the coordination and provision of services offered by the Community Programs Team and direct personnel supervision of the Advocacy and Education Manager, Bridge Program Manager, and Coordinated Community Response Manager. Additional responsibilities include ensuring advocacy, training, and community capacity building initiatives are consistent with Rose Brooks Center’s principles of trauma informed care, accessibility, equity and inclusion, quality assurance indicators and targets for outcomes and service provision; partnering with the Development Team and agency leadership on grant proposals, grant administration, and grant reporting. Other aspects of the position:
- Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with agency policies and procedures, while demonstrating proficiency in all RBC competencies and utilizing the principles of trauma informed care, and accessibility; demonstrates a commitment to the overall mission of Rose Brooks Center.
- Attend scheduled staff, team, and supervision meetings.
- Participate in all required trainings.
Qualifications:
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, human/social services and/or related field and/or commensurate combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in supervision and management, or commensurate combination of education/experience, with ability to develop and coach direct reports and others.
- Program development/management experience and/or project management experience.
- Thorough knowledge of best practices and domestic violence dynamics.
- Excellent understanding of current available resources and eligibility requirements; provide proper information, resources, and guidance to staff.
- Experience providing trauma-informed, equitable, and inclusive services to a diverse client group; understanding of trauma and its impact
- Able to collaborate with and facilitate meetings within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including training and facilitation skills.
- Strong skills in curriculum development, training delivery, and program evaluation to support continuous learning and professional development.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, database systems and other software.
- Provide a valid driver’s license and car insurance with an ability to meet Rose Brooks Center’s driving requirements for the job position.
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, human/social services and/or related field.
- Experience in hospital administration and/or a court setting preferred.
- Minimum one year experience in residential or domestic violence shelter preferred.
Work Hours: This is a full-time, exempt position and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday days but may include some evening and weekend hours. Duties are performed primarily on-site; however, some duties, such as attendance at community meetings will be performed off-site.
Compensation: This position falls into a salary range starting at $70,000 annually (exempt).
