Job Coach -Supported Employment

Status: PT - Non-Exempt
Hours per week: PRN
 
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position provides mentoring and support to our Supported Employment Consumers/Clients at their job sites.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Train consumers/clients as needed to meet work expectations on the job site
2. Utilize positive interventions when supporting individuals at the work site.
3. Utilize coaching tools to increase motivation and productivity
4. Ability to be flexible.
5. Work one-on-one with clients to improve work skills and production skills to meet employer expectations
6. Observe, evaluate, and document each consumer's/client's performance
7. Maintain accurate records on each consumer/client
8. Complete required billing paperwork for each consumer/client
9. Familiarize with multiple aspects of the company in which the consumer/client works
10. Orient the consumer/client to the employer's policies and procedures
11. Assure the confidentiality of information regarding program individuals
12. Willingness to travel in personal vehicle to various work sites
13. Regular and predictable attendance

 
REQUIRED SKILLS

• Minimum of 6 months experience in supervision and/or training with persons with disabilities
• High School diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation

 
PREFERRED SKILLS

• College Degree
• Personal Experience with a Disability

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee has the potential to encounter unpredictable clients.  The position has mostly an inside work environment and occasional outside work, traveling from one location to another, with exposure to weather conditions.
