Marketing Department Intern (Unpaid, Part-time)

MARKETING INTERN (Unpaid, Part-Time) 

Location: In-Person, Independence, MO 

Hours: Part-time (flexible hours) 9-15 hours per week 

Reports to: Regional Marketing Manager 

About FosterAdopt Connect: 

 

FosterAdopt Connect is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families through connections, community and care. We are seeking a part-time, unpaid Marketing Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience while contributing meaningful, mission-drive work at our Independence, MO HQ office location.  

 

This internship is ideal for students or emerging professionals interested in marketing, communications and design work who would like an opportunity build their skills in a collaborative environment.  

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Assisting with social media content ideation, creation, scheduling, and posting. 

  • Supporting basic graphic design projects, including digital/print materials and interest in logo creation.  

  • Assisting with or learning photography and videography, including shooting an editing content.  

  • Helping draft, edit, and refine copy and captions for social media posts, email campaigns, newsletters and print materials. 

  • Providing support on a variety of projects across the Marketing department, as needed.  

 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills: 

  • Interest in, or currently pursuing a degree in, marketing, communications, graphic design or a related field.  

  • Experience with or interest in:  

  • Social media platforms 

  • Graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe, Creative Suite, or similar). 

  • Photography and/or videography (experience welcome but not required) 

  • Writing or editing short-form content. 

  • Organized, creative, and willing to learn.  

  • Passion for working with or supporting children and families is a plus.
