Supportive Service Coordinator - Walnut Grove

This position is responsible for providing supportive service coordination to residents of Walnut Grove Apartments, this is a multi-family residential housing complex located in Kansas City, Missouri. Services provided are designed to be responsive to residents’ individual needs, utilizing the strengths-based model, and will link residents with services provided by our community collaborative partners. $23-$24 hourly depending on qualifications.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social work or degree in Gerontology, Psychology or Counseling is preferred; individuals without a degree but having appropriate work experience are also acceptable.
- Knowledge of and training in family, elderly and disability services.
- Knowledge of referral processes.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of local services for the specific resident profile and people with disabilities.
- 2-3 years of social service delivery experience, preferably direct experience working with families, elderly people or people with disabilities.
Skills and Competencies
- Superior communication (verbal and written), time management and organizational skills.
- Comprehend, document and converse in standard English.
- Superior problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Sound judgment and reasoning skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of computers and software programs.
- Ability to handle multiple demands and priorities and work with diverse population.
- Conversant in and supportive of Catholic Charities’ mission.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines and product timely and accurate data/reports.
