At Bishop Sullivan Center - One City Cafe is a Lifeline
For some, One City Café helps stretch a thin budget until payday. For others, One City Café is a lifeline. In Jackson County, 1 in 6 people are considered food insecure- up from 1 in 8 in 2022. To help meet the ever-growing need, One City Café community kitchen provides a warm welcome, a seat at the table, and a free, nutritious meal to all who are hungry. Hope Village Groundbreaking Ceremony — July 13, 2026 On Monday, July 13, The Hope Center KC and Sankofa EDG broke ground on Hope Village, a new housing initiative bringing 21 attainable homes to Kansas City's East Side.
