2024 Elmwood Cemetery Society Annual Picnic
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Elmwood Cemetery opened in 1872 as a privately held cemetery, The Elmwood Cemetery Association. 
Elmwood Cemetery is Kansas City's second -oldest cemetery and is the final resting place for over 30,000 individuals, from politicians, business leaders, soldiers, celebrities, and every one in between. We still provide funeral and burial services. However, Elmwood's most important mission is to maintain the facilities and grounds of this historic site.

Ticket and Sponsorship Opportunities
 Kansas City’s historic Elmwood Cemetery invites you to join us for our annual picnic on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.  This year’s picnic includes burgers, brats and hotdogs provided by Two Guys and a Grill.  The price of the picnic is only $25.00 per person, and comes with live music, cemetery tours with live reenactors and the opportunity to enjoy a crisp early autumn afternoon amongst the rolling hills and colorful trees of Elmwood.
