KH Consulting is proud to announce that founder and principal consultant Kim Halfhill has been named the Excelsior Springs Area Chamber of Commerce Member of the Year, an honor that coincides with the 10th anniversary of KH Consulting.

Kim was selected for the award in recognition of her sustained impact, collaborative leadership, and dedication to strengthening Excelsior Springs through strategic vision, community engagement, and cross-sector partnership.

“Today, we celebrate someone whose dedication, talent, and unwavering enthusiasm have shaped Excelsior Springs in ways that are impossible to measure,” the Chamber shared in its remarks. “Kim Halfhill is marking her 10th anniversary this year — a decade of showing up, lifting up, and pushing our community forward with vision and purpose. Over the past ten years, Kim has been much more than a consultant. She has been one of Excelsior Springs’ greatest cheerleaders — championing successes, challenging the community to think bigger, and reminding us of what’s possible when people work together.”

The Chamber highlighted Kim’s instrumental role in the organization, launch, and ongoing stewardship of Thrive Excelsior, noting that what began as a bold idea has grown into a nationally and even globally recognized model for community vitality, citizen engagement, and innovative problem-solving through the Communities of Resilience and Excellence (C.O.R.E.) movement.

“Kim’s leadership, creativity, and steady guidance have been at the heart of Thrive’s success,” the Chamber noted. “Her fingerprints are on some of the most impactful and transformative work happening in our town.” The Chamber further emphasized that Kim’s drive, collaboration, and belief in the community align closely with its mission to be forward-thinking, inclusive, and committed to meaningful progress.
