About Flourish Furniture Bank:
Flourish Furniture Bank is Kansas City’s only furniture bank, serving families and individuals across Kansas and Missouri. Our 49,000-square-foot warehouse and showroom in Grandview, Missouri, is filled with furniture and household goods generously donated by local businesses and residents. We upcycle these items, transforming them into essential resources for our neighbors in need. Through a personalized and supportive shopping experience, we empower guests to choose the furnishings that best fit their needs and preferences, completely free of charge.
Woodworking Department Volunteer Responsibilities:
As a volunteer in the Woodworking Department, you’ll help repair, restore, and refinish wooden furniture and household items to ensure they are sturdy, safe, and beautiful for our clients. Volunteers may fix broken legs, reinforce joints, sand surfaces, apply finishes, and complete minor assembly tasks. This hands-on role is perfect for those who have a willingness to learn a new skill or enjoy working with tools, have an eye for craftsmanship, and want to make a tangible difference. Your work helps transform donated pieces into high-quality furnishings, allowing families to create warm and welcoming homes.
This Volunteer Opportunity is promoted by Nonprofit Connect.
