Reading Inspirational Stories to Empower (RISE)
A collaboration between Rosedale Development Association (RDA) and Front Porch Alliance (FPA) engages students and volunteers in more than 20 classrooms in discussions about and actions towards social change. “As our youth gain knowledge and confidence, they should have a platform to speak out about and act on the changes they want to see in our community.”

Children who have strong relationships with caring adults are more likely to be engaged at school and be more motivated to succeed academically. Students who have strong relationships with adults in their school also have higher levels of social and emotional well-being.
