Let's Connect: Collaboration
When you work together, you get more done. Collaboration is a key tool of the nonprofit trade, but too often, nonprofits only on collaboration with other nonprofits. Partnering with local government offices can unlock new avenues to create impact. If your organization has ever considered partnering with local government, or if you're ready to strengthen your collaboration muscle, then this discussion is for you.
During this session, you'll learn from one of the organizations nominated for the Stronger Together Award at the 2021 Philanthropy Awards Luncheon. We've celebrated their accomplishments and now it's time to take a peek behind the curtain to understand what happened behind the scenes so that we can apply those learnings to our own organizations.
In the second part of the session, we'll move into breakout rooms to encourage small group discussion and networking. You will have the opportunity to share your perspective, ask questions, and gain insight from your nonprofit peers.

Speakers:

More than a recap of their awards submission, these speakers will share a behind-the-scenes peek at what it takes to make partnerships work.
Susila Jones is the Executive Director of Cross-Lines Community Outreach and has her Bachelor and Master degrees in Social Work from the University of Kansas. Susila has been with Cross-Lines since 2009. She began as a case manager and later became Director of Programs and Services, overseeing all client programs and services at Cross-Lines. In 2014, Susila transitioned to her current position as Executive Director. Her role in all levels of services and administration at Cross-Lines gives Susila a unique and comprehensive experience to ensure quality, client-centered programs and services.
