Event Description:
In 2019, Kansas Citians will elect a new mayor to lead us into the 2020's. With this comes challenges and opportunities for our area, including the nonprofits who serve this community.   

Nonprofit Connect is proud to host a forum with the final two mayoral candidates, which will be decided after the April 2 primary election. Please join us and bring your ideas and concerns as we hear what the candidates for the next mayor of Kansas City, Missouri have to say about the issues most important to our sector.

We'll begin with a networking happy hour from 5:00 - 6:00 PM, and then transition into a forum discussing issues important to the nonprofit sector of the Greater Kansas City area until 7:00 PM. 

When registering to attend, you will be able to submit a question for the candidates. We will try to get to as many nonprofit-submitted questions as possible within the time allotted. 
 

Moderator:

Kristi Wyatt is the former Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Programming with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, where she worked for over 20 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge from the for-profit and nonprofit sector, as well as governmental experience, having served as Chief of Staff for Mayor Richard Berkley from 1980 - 1991. She currently leands her time and talent to community initiatives that are near and dear to her, including KC Pet Project, and the commissioning of the USS Kansas City, among others.
