Volunteer to clean up litter with us along Turkey Creek in Lenexa, Kansas! Do you know where litter goes? Litter in streets and parking lots flow into storm drains, which then empty into local creeks and rivers. In other words, if it’s on the ground, it’s in our water! Be part of the solution by volunteering to clean up litter along the creek!

Please bring a re-usable water bottle filled with water that you can carry with you. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes and long pants are a must. We recommend long sleeves to protect against poison ivy. Muck or rain boots are also recommended if you have them! Consider a hat, sunscreen and bugspray.

Location: KCPL Connect, 1710 Paseo, Kansas City, MO 64108 Min age: 16. We’ll provide workgloves and safety vests. Please wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. We will provide training at 8:15 AM on-site for all volunteer roles. The event opens to the public at 9:00 AM.
