American Cancer Society Kansas City Area Board Membership [Start 2027]

The American Cancer Society's Kansas City Chairman’s Circle (CC) is intended to provide a diverse executive leadership forum for advancing the our life-saving mission. This advocacy includes assisting ACS staff by promoting program priorities and informing the public about ACS organizational priorities. Chairman’s Circle members will be asked to assist by advancing mission priorities, securing financial support, recognizing key contributors and building relationships with community leaders.

We are looking for individuals interested in graphic design using Canva. Or help with our e-news and writing copy utilizing MailChimp. We are a working board and collaborate to create marketing aspects for our free orchestral community concerts and fundraising events.

Fundraising Committee Board Member

The Fundraising Committee the Board’s efforts to secure contributed revenue in support of the organization’s mission, artistic excellence, and long-term sustainability. In collaboration with staff, fellow board members, and volunteers, the Committee fosters a culture of philanthropy and ensures effective planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising initiatives.

Operations Committee Board Member

The Operations Committee supports the orchestra by ensuring that its administrative and production systems function smoothly and effectively. The committee provides guidance and oversight related to organizational policies, facilities, personnel practices, and performance logistics, helping the orchestra operate efficiently and sustainably.
