Community LINC is the largest single site provider for homeless services in the metropolitan area. With housing programs, supportive services, community-wide services, coordinated exits and placements- as well as building community awareness- Community LINC is a beacon of hope for our neighbor’s experiencing homelessness.
Required Education | H.S.Diploma or equivalent with 10+ years experience OR associate’s degree with 3+ years experience OR bachelor’s degree with 1+ years experience |
Other Requirements | Spanish language proficiency is a plus |
Required working hours | Available M – F 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (36 hours per week) Evening hours may be required 1-2 times per month |
Median Salary | $18-$24 per hour |
Job Description
Community LINC is seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate individual to join our team. This person will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff, providing excellent customer service and administrative support. This role requires a person who can maintain a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently handling a variety of tasks in a busy environment. This position is responsible for prescreening applicants by gathering essential family information and assists in ensuring a smooth and welcoming entry into our programs. This will be an initiative-taking individual with strong follow-through skills, the ability to provide high level executive support, the ability to complete complex and sensitive tasks.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to understand and empathize with families’ experiences.
- Skilled in listening carefully to families to ensure they feel heard and understood.
- Ability to convey information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic knowledge of office equipment.
- Ability to compose and/or proof correspondence which reflects professionalism.
- Maintain an elevated level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Case Management, Mental Wellness and Development Teams.
- Follow mission statement and core values of the organization.
- Meet performance goals and staff objectives.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills including data management and Microsoft Office.
The Intake and Administrative Coordinator will have a critical role at Community LINC through assisting with onboarding new families and being the first contact external parties will have with our organization during day-to-day operations.
Front Desk Management
- Greet and assist clients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and empathy.
- Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages, as necessary.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting and distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Assist in the management of donations and deliveries.
- Coordinate prescreening and administrative duties as it relates to onboarding new families.

Ensures program monitoring, evaluation, and compliance is paramount.
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and external partners, maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
- Assists in creating company-wide communication, and related correspondence.
- Update company and client phone listings.
- Arranges logistics, schedules, and meetings including room set-up, agendas, etc.
- Proofreads for the leadership team for consistency, grammar, and spelling.
- Maintains inventory and purchases of office supplies.
- Serves as Board Liaison – communicating with board and committee members as well as ensures organizational compliance related are managed in conjunction with the Sr. Accountant and CEO
Support the work of the Programs, Mental Wellness and Development teams.
- Coordinate and manage the bi-monthly Family Orientations
- Complete weekly apartment inspections and support families in maintaining a clean and appropriate living environment.
- Perform apartment inspections as families exit Community LINC.
- Responsible for collecting and tracking family participation fees and savings.
- Maintain Laundry Room key sign-out and schedule for all campus families.
- Coordinate delivery of weekly Pete’s Garden and ensure it is put away timely.
- Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $30,000 - 49,999
