Youth Technology Facilitator

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Youth Technology Facilitator to inspire young minds in the fundamentals of programming. This is an entry-level role, and no prior teaching experience is required. Training will be provided and participation in training is required. You will be responsible for leading hands-on classes, teaching both entry-level block coding concepts using Scratch and foundational web development skills using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This role requires a passion for both technology and education, and a knack for making complex concepts fun for children.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Instruction: Teach engaging, age-appropriate coding classes (Scratch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to small groups of children.
- Curriculum Delivery: Deliver the established curriculum effectively, adapting teaching methods to suit various learning styles and paces.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment; manage and organize classroom technology (laptops, supplies, etc.).
- Student Support: Provide one-on-one assistance and feedback to students, encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative project completion.
- Preparation & Planning: Prepare lesson materials, ensure all necessary resources are ready before class, and document student progress.
- Communication: Clearly communicate with parents/guardians about class activities and student achievements (when applicable).
- Collaboration: Work with the Cyber Creationz Tech team to contribute ideas for improving course content and student engagement.
You’re a Great Fit If You
- Have a genuine passion for teaching and inspiring children/youth (Age Range, e.g., 8-18]).
- Are proficient and comfortable teaching foundational coding concepts in:
- Block Coding (especially Scratch)
- Web Development (HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript)
- Possess strong presentation and communication skills, able to explain technical topics in a clear, child-friendly manner.
- Are reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a consistent part-time schedule (approx. 20 hours/week).
- Demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in a formal or informal educational setting is a plus.
- Must successfully pass a background check prior to employment.

Salary Range: Up to $29,999
