Director of Nursing

Village Shalom is a premier senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and a vibrant living experience for residents. We have a unique opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead the clinical team and drive results in delivering the highest standards of care.
 
Position Summary:
The Director of Nursing oversees all aspects of nursing care across the campus. This leadership role includes managing the nursing staff, developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, extensive clinical knowledge, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to our residents.
 
Qualifications:

  • A current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of nursing experience, with at least three years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and standards of care.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a long-term care or senior living setting is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the nursing department, including recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures and services to ensure high standards of care and make necessary adjustments where required.
  • Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to resident care or nursing staff.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth, including regular meetings to discuss policies, procedures and trends.
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Ensure that the facility is prepared for inspections and audits by regulatory agencies.
