Virtual - KC Common Good Digital Marketing Intern

POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Marketing Intern position is a part-time virtual internship that reports to the CEO. This individual will assist in the creation and implementation of the agency’s digital marketing efforts as well as supporting the marketing department’s overall digital marketing initiatives. This individual will work approximately 5-10 hours per week.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Support content creation and content scheduling for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
• Assist in ongoing website copywriting, toolkits, content calendar, proofing, and updating as needed
• Find and add community events to the community calender
• Coordinate with the CEO to explore and test emerging trends in social media and digital marketing
• Assist with marketing needs at virtual events as needed
• Launch a KCCG ambassador social media campaign
• Assist in reporting on digital marketing campaign results
• Attend weekly marketing strategy zoom calls
• Attend monthly marketing firm zoom calls
• Complete additional tasks assigned as needed

• Be a sophomore, junior or senior currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communication, advertising, journalism, or similar field
• Graphic design or videography experience is a plus
• GPA of 3.00 or higher
• Previous volunteer or paid experience at a nonprofit organization a plus
• Previous experience, paid or volunteer, in a marketing role is a plus
