Position Overview

The Campus & Program Aide supports the logistics and operations at the Northeast Community Center, including setup, arrival and dismissal procedures, student supervision, snack, site preparation, and more.

Experience & Qualifications

~50% of this role is physical. Able to consistently move 20-30 pounds, occasionally will need to lift 50 pounds; Able to walk a multi-building campus with stairs; Ability to work independently and while managing multiple priorities; Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to dynamic environments and work effectively in fast-paced settings; Experience working with children using a strengths based and culturally responsive approach; Alignment with staff and organizational core values; Familiarity with Office, Google Suite, Slack; Experience with database systems preferred; Proactive; Timely; Reliable. Preferred skill: Spanish fluency.

Time Requirements

This is a part-time position, 22.5 hours/week. 

Monday -Thursday 3:00-8:00pm. Saturday 9:30am-12:00pm. 

Position is in operation approximately 32 weeks a year - school year schedule. (Mid August - Mid December, Mid January - Mid May; Occasional summer work available)

Pay

$18 - $20/hour. Pay will be set commensurate with experience and additional skills (specifically bilingualism in Spanish and/or music knowledge).

 

Campus & Program Logistics:

  • Setup and teardown for campus needs - including meetings, events, and rentals. 

  • Classroom and ensemble pre-program walk through, set-up, and deliveries as directed (chairs, music stands, projectors, furniture).

  • Facilitate arrival (attendance, escorting students, supervising students as necessary).

  • Distribute snacks. 

  • Facilitate dismissal with program staff members (classroom management, calling parents, lock-up duties as assigned).

  • Assist with escorting students on campus.

  • As directed, fulfill teacher, student, and staff material needs (assembling sheet music folders, delivering instruments, etc.

 

Data Entry:

  • Input information as directed regarding attendance, tardies, etc. 

 

Student & Family Interaction:

  • Welcome children and families to campus. 

  • Interact with families regarding daily program needs, elevating to supervisor as appropriate. 

  • As directed, facilitate activities for students in need of a break from class.


Other duties as assigned.
