Director of Community Programs & Evaluation

Reports to: Executive Director
General responsibilities:
The Director of Community Programs and Evaluation is an innovative, creative, and flexible individual who believes in the power of experiential education to inspire a lifelong love of learning. The Director will work to deliver and expand all community programs and oversee the evaluation of all museum programs.
Duties include:

  1. Research and develop new community-focused programs that serve the museum's mission, vision, and values and meet the needs of area children and families, focusing on STEAM and social-emotional wellness.
  2. Continue to grow and expand the parenting program that is both referral-based and public-facing.
  3. Develop programming to support incarcerated parent(s), and other caregivers to promote understanding of child development.
  4. Identify referring partner organizations and cultivate and secure continued referrals to parenting programs.
  5. Monitor and evaluate all programs, providing evaluation results to program leads for any necessary changes or adjustments.
  6. Work with the Director of Operations to deploy a Staff Satisfaction Survey and provide the results to the senior management team and Board of Directors.
 Skills required:
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, and a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Must have at least three years’ experience in an educational setting.
  • Experience in survey development and evaluation.
  • Experience with program development for children and adults.
  • Excellent administrative management skills; must be comfortable using and learning software programs
  • Ability to communicate courteously, professionally, and effectively with various audiences.
  • Ability to work in a team setting where a high degree of daily communication is required.
  • Must care about and value the viewpoints of other team members with different areas of responsibility.
  • Must work independently and multitask in a vibrant, fast-paced environment.
 
Compensation: $60,000-$65,000 with benefits
