Director of Housing and Economic Advocacy
Rose Brooks Center, a nonprofit domestic violence agency, is currently seeking a full-time Director of Housing and Economic Advocacy. This position is responsible for supervising and providing leadership to Housing and Economic Advocacy staff. Additional responsibilities include coordination and management of the Housing and Economic Advocacy program services; ensuring housing and economic advocacy services are consistent with Rose Brooks Center’s principles of trauma informed care, accessibility, and equity and inclusion, quality assurance indicators and targets for outcomes and productivity; partnering with the development team and agency leadership on grant proposals, grant administration and grant reporting. This position works collaboratively with other internal staff, leaders and community partners in the provision of Housing and Economic Advocacy services. Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with agency policies and procedures, while demonstrating proficiency in all RBC competencies and utilizing the principles of trauma informed care, accessibility, and equity and inclusion; demonstrates a commitment to the overall mission of Rose Brooks Center.

Participate in a minimum of 3 equity and inclusion related activities.

Attend scheduled staff and team meetings; participate in all required trainings.

Required Education, Experience and Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field; or commensurate work experience; master’s degree preferred.

5+ years experience in supervision and management, or commensurate combination of education/experience, with ability to develop and coach direct reports and others.

Experience managing HUD-funded housing program highly preferred.

Program development/management experience and/or project management experience.

Experience in grant administration and reporting as well as experience with HMIS data reporting, preferred.

Minimum one year experience in residential or domestic violence shelter preferred.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and motivate others; experience in developing and maintaining strong collaborations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience providing trauma-informed, equitable, and inclusive services to a diverse client group; understanding of trauma and its impact.

Knowledge of community resources.

Proven time management, prioritization and organizational skills.

Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 and client database systems.

Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance.

Bilingual Spanish/English, verbal and written, preferred.
Hours: This is a full-time, exempt position and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday days but may include some evening and weekend hours. Duties are performed primarily on-site; however, some duties, such as attendance at community meetings will be performed off-site.
Compensation: This position falls into a salary range starting at $63,000 annually (exempt).
