Boys Hope Girls Hope of Kansas City (BHGH of KC) identifies academically capable boys in need and provides them with a family-like home and a college preparatory education. BHGH of KC is distinct in the Kansas City region, in that it combines a rigorous, comprehensive array of educational resources and programming with around-the-clock care to children whose environmental barriers might otherwise impeded academic success. BHGH of KC invests deeply in a select number of high potential youth who, at a significant rate, overcome harmful, systemic environmental risk factors and become high performers with a commitment to bettering themselves and their communities. The emphasis is placed on quality over quantity and depth over breadth. BHGH of KC belongs to a network of 16 affiliates throughout the United States and Central America.
