About Us

I'm a book designer, editor, illustrator, and publisher. With clear writing about who you are and what you do, you can connect with your audience. When people understand your vision, they can take part in it. My specialty is making the short story hit its mark with full impact. I'm Polly Alice McCann. People contact me when they want to make a picture book, anthology, or write stories connecting people. I lead workshops and write bios and copy. As an artist, editor, and illustrator, I give feedback from many angles. I have a MA in writing from Hamline University. KC Crossroads Author Fair with Flying Ketchup Press & AfterWord Tavern and Shelves
FountainVerse Poetry Festival. We were one of the publishers with five new collections of poetry for the event.
We partnered with Foster Grandparents and Reconciliation Services to make this picture book for them to use in their in school reading program.
We worked with a local author to share about her advocacy work creating the first outdoor memorial for victims and survivors of trafficking so the whole story of her art and poetry could be shared.
After helping a local artist and teacher create a book that helps kids with learning disabilities learn to read, we worked with an audio producer to create a top of the line audio book to go with it.
Designer Kevin Callahan has worked on many of our layouts and design projects.
A year long weekly live radio show shared about local author and poets, paired with an additional podcast for writers at 100.1 KONN OneKC Radio.
With Northland Caps we had a teen editor create a sharable way for teens to share online flip magazines designed for phone size reading.
Our first book project with Poet T.L. Sanders went on to win a Fringe Fest award and turn into a film!
I worked developed and published this author and she won top 100 books by Kirkus Reviews in 2022.
