Cornerstone Aviation Academy Hosts First FAA Aviation Career Education (ACE) Summer Camp in Kansas

New Century, KS – Cornerstone Aviation Academy (CSAA) successfully held its inaugural FAA Aviation Career Education (ACE) Summer Camp at Signature Aviation, New Century, Kansas. This groundbreaking event provided an immersive aviation experience for Kansas youth, aimed at inspiring and educating the next generation of aviation professionals.

Campers participated in a variety of hands-on activities, including air traffic control simulations, exploring military aviation, visiting the TWA Aviation Museum, and learning about aircraft mechanics and commercial piloting. In addition, campers had the opportunity to fly drones and operate flight simulators, giving them a firsthand feel for the world of aviation.

This year’s ACE camp was made possible through sponsorship from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Signature Aviation, and the Johnson County NAACP, whose support helped make this experience accessible to students from diverse backgrounds.

Mark D. Harper, founder of Cornerstone Aviation Academy, remarked, "We are excited to have hosted our first ACE summer camp, introducing youth to a variety of career paths in aviation. Our goal is to inspire future aviators, mechanics, and air traffic controllers, while also fostering diversity within the aviation industry."

The camp’s success underscores Cornerstone Aviation Academy’s commitment to building an aviation pipeline that supports the industry and opens doors for women, people of color, and underserved communities.
