Position Title: Social Media Coordinator

Overview of GIFTS TLC:
The mission of GIFTS TLC is to support NICU parents by providing resources to alleviate their financial burden, allowing them to focus on their infant's recovery. The organization envisions a future where preemie care is readily accessible, and parents receive both financial and emotional support. GIFTS TLC aims to create a positive and encouraging experience for parents in need, fostering a commitment to enrich and advocate for diverse backgrounds. Additionally, the organization provides care packages to offer relief and support during the stressful time spent in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.


Role Description:
The Social Media Coordinator of Gifts TLC plays a vital role in amplifying the organization's mission and impact through various social media platforms. This position involves developing and implementing social media strategies, creating engaging content, and fostering meaningful connections with our audience to raise awareness, drive engagement, and support fundraising efforts.
 

Responsibilities


Social Media Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the organization's mission, goals, and target audience.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media efforts and track progress over time.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in social media marketing to optimize strategy and tactics.


Content Creation and Curation:

  • Create engaging and compelling content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Curate relevant content from external sources, partners, and supporters to supplement original content and enhance engagement.
  • Utilize multimedia elements such as photos, videos, graphics, and infographics to enhance the visual appeal and storytelling impact of social media posts.


Community Engagement:

  • Foster meaningful interactions and relationships with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Encourage user-generated content and user participation through contests, polls, challenges, and other interactive initiatives.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and opportunities to join relevant discussions and expand our reach.


Campaign Management:

  • Support fundraising and awareness campaigns by developing social media content calendars, scheduling posts, and coordinating promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Fundraising teams to integrate social media into broader campaign strategies and initiatives.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement.


Brand Advocacy and Reputation Management:

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Gifts TLC, promoting our mission, values, and impact across social media channels.
  • Monitor online mentions, reviews, and feedback to maintain a positive brand image and address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Identify and engage with influencers, partners, and supporters to amplify our message and expand our reach within relevant communities.


Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, with prior experience managing social media accounts for organizations or brands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive content tailored to different audiences and platforms.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms to track performance, measure outcomes, and derive actionable insights.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and visual communication, leveraging multimedia elements to enhance content impact and engagement.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Gifts TLC, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and a dedication to making a positive impact on families in need.
