The Prospect KC & Care Beyond the Boulevard - Our January Impact

January reminded us what real collective impact looks like.

When temperatures drop and the need is on the rise, organizations cannot afford to operate in silos. At The Beehive, something powerful is happening. The Prospect KC and Care Beyond the Boulevard are working side by side — food access, healthcare, housing navigation, and case management all moving together.
This is not coincidence. It is coordination. It is partnership. It is community.
Here is what that looked like in January 2026:
Food & Nourishment
• 12,134 Nourish Now community meals served
• 33,672 pounds of pantry food distributed

Every meal served and every pound distributed represents stability. It means someone didn’t have to choose between food and something else.
Healthcare & Stabilization – Care Beyond the Boulevard
• 509 patients seen in the medical clinic
• 674 total medical encounters
• 67 Community Health Worker connections
• 28 individuals connected to housing
• 16 assisted with SSI/SSDI access
• 2 STI tests provided
• 324 guests sheltered in the Emergency Warming Center
• 221 total resource connections through The Beehive

These numbers reflect more than services delivered. They reflect coordination. Someone can receive medical care and then sit down for a dignified meal. Someone can connect to housing support and leave with pantry staples for the week. Someone can step inside from freezing temperatures and find warmth, safety, and human connection.
This is what happens when food, health, and social services operate as an ecosystem.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Collective impact is not a buzzword. It is what we see when organizations align around shared outcomes and put people at the center.
The Prospect KC provides nourishment and workforce pathways. Care Beyond the Boulevard provides medical care and stabilization. Together, at The Beehive, we are reducing barriers in real time.
This is infrastructure for dignity.
This is coordinated community care.
This is what Kansas City looks like when we show up for our neighbors.

January was cold. Needs were high. And still, our community moved.
Thank you to every partner, volunteer, donor, staff member, and advocate who makes this level of coordination possible. You are not just supporting programs. You are strengthening an ecosystem.
And when the ecosystem is strong, our neighbors have a real chance to move from crisis to stability.
We are just getting started.
