American Cancer Society Kansas City Area Board Membership [Start 2027]

The American Cancer Society's Kansas City Chairman’s Circle (CC) is intended to provide a diverse executive leadership forum for advancing the our life-saving mission. This advocacy includes assisting ACS staff by promoting program priorities and informing the public about ACS organizational priorities. Chairman’s Circle members will be asked to assist by advancing mission priorities, securing financial support, recognizing key contributors and building relationships with community leaders.

Our mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

Volunteer with Down Syndrome Innovations!

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with our teen and adult social groups and also childcare for siblings of our little ones with Down syndrome. These sessions occur on Monday and Tuesday evenings and also Friday and Saturday mornings. We are able to offer so many supports and services because of our volunteers who offer their time, talent and their hearts!

Volunteer at the 2026 Ivanhoe Park Celebration!

Help make the Ivanhoe Park Celebration possible by assisting with the welcome table, set up, clean up, meal service, or managing the kids games. Volunteers can take whichever shift works best for them (9 AM - 12 PM or 12 PM - 3 PM). This celebration takes place on Saturday, July 25th, 2026 at 4300 Brooklyn Ave, KCMO 64130. Community Food Partner Assistant

Each day more than 10 Community Food Partners pick up rescued produce from Kanbe's to bring back to their organizations and serve members of the Kansas City community. This opportunity is a great way to work face to face with those feeding our neighbors! We are looking for individuals to join us daily in assisting our operations team in preparing food pallets and loading Community Food Partners vehicles out of our warehouse space.
