About Flourish Furniture Bank:
Flourish Furniture Bank is Kansas City’s only furniture bank, serving families and individuals across Kansas and Missouri. Our 49,000-square-foot warehouse and showroom in Grandview, Missouri, is filled with furniture and household goods generously donated by local businesses and residents. We upcycle these items, transforming them into essential resources for our neighbors in need. Through a personalized and supportive shopping experience, we empower guests to choose the furnishings that best fit their needs and preferences, completely free of charge.
Beds Department Volunteer Responsibilities:
Join our Beds Department and help ensure that every family receives a comfortable place to rest their heads. As a Beds Department volunteer, you’ll organize, match, and assemble beds and bed frames, turning donated pieces into complete, cozy setups for our guests. It’s a bit like solving a puzzle: you’ll fit together headboards, footboards, rails, and hardware to create the perfect match for each family. This hands-on role is ideal for problem-solvers who enjoy working with their hands and want to make a real, immediate impact. Your attention to detail and effort mean families can enjoy a good night’s sleep in a safe, welcoming home.
