Let's Connect: Operations

Chief Operations Officers are responsible for ensuring your organization runs like a smooth-oiled machine. What do you do when your operating environment changes dramatically due to COVID-19? Every organization has had to adapt how they deliver services, fundraise, and ensure the day-to-day gets done.  

Join Lucinda Noches Talbert, Vice President of Operations at KC Healthy Kids, as she shares how her organization has pivoted operations and what you can do as a leader to ensure the trains continue to run on time. This session will use breakout rooms to facilitate small group discussion where everyone will have the opportunity to ask questions, share promising practices, and network together.

Speakers:

Lucinda Noches Talbert currently serves as the Vice President of Operations. In her role, she is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of KC Healthy Kids, including fund development, general office operations, financial management, human resources and IT support. Lucinda is a seasoned grant professional, who has secured funding from numerous federal, state and foundation sources. She has completed coursework from the Grantsmanship Institute, and federal grants management coursework from Management Concepts. Lucinda has more than 15 years of nonprofit management experience in Kansas and Missouri. She has a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Kansas. She has served as the Treasurer of Riverview Health Clinic and is currently serving on the Board of the Nettleton Foundation.

Lucinda is a 2014 graduate of the Healthcare Foundation of Greater Kansas City Leadership Academy and a 2011 graduate of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions Leadership Program.  She is also an alumnus of the Central Exchange AHEAD program. In 2018, Lucinda received a volunteer of the year award from the United Way of Wyandotte County. She is originally from Topeka, Kansas and has resided in the Kansas City metropolitan area for 15 years.
