Pricing Structure
Nonprofit and Business members can post volunteer opportunities and board positions for free.
Individual members and nonmembers can submit their opportunities for $25 per week.
*If you are posting an open board position, make sure to select Board of Directors as your Category. Consider using our board position description template to make sure you provide the right information.

It's that time again! We are hosting a Fabric Grab on Saturday, August 22nd . We need your help with setup, during, and cleanup of the event.
Community Sew Day
Join us for Community Sewing Day on August 28 from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. at The Sewing Labs! Help sew or assemble lap quilts, walker bags, kids’ activity bags, and pillowcases for neighbors served by Volunteer KC, Shawnee PARC, and St. Luke’s. All skill levels are welcome—projects include sewing and simple kit assembly. Materials and guidance are provided at no cost; bring a machine if you’d like. Drop in or stay all day!

If you’re new to volunteering at The Sewing Labs, please attend a First-Time Volunteer Orientation before signing up. Opportunities include organizing donations, office support, quilting, testing or maintaining sewing machines, and sewing community outreach kits. Sewists create activity bags, walker bags, pillowcases, and navigation bags for local partners.

Each day more than 10 Community Food Partners pick up rescued produce from Kanbe's to bring back to their organizations and serve members of the Kansas City community. This opportunity is a great way to work face to face with those feeding our neighbors! We are looking for individuals to join us daily in assisting our operations team in preparing food pallets and loading Community Food Partners vehicles out of our warehouse space.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with our teen and adult social groups and also childcare for siblings of our little ones with Down syndrome. These sessions occur on Monday and Tuesday evenings and also Friday and Saturday mornings. Individual Volunteer Opportunity: CASA Advocacy and Volunteer Opportunities
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are appointed by judges to support children in foster care. They meet regularly with their assigned child, consult with professionals, and gather information from families and placements, spending about 10–12 hours per month. General volunteers also help CASA through events, committees, and donation drives.
